religion+politic = anti-condom

Pope Benedict XVI triggered an international scandal when he criticized the use of condoms in the fight against AIDS in Africa was not the answer yet increase the problem (echt blöd!). Protests and outcries throughout the world expressed their angers in both usual and unsual ways, and one that attracts my attention was when an Italian group Facebook urges people to post condoms to the pope in protest over his remarks which they expects 60,000 subscribers will send a condom to the Vatican.

Months before, Vatican was struggling with the troublesome when Bishop Williamson, one of the brothers of the Society of St. Pius X, as he told a Swedish public television station that he believed there were no gas chambers and also said that only 300,000 Jews perished in Nazi concentration camps rather than the 6 million accepted by historians.

2009, yet another controversial year for religious institutions getting involved in political movements. Maybe these people, if they are so interested to woo the public for their political correctness, should concentrate more on how to reduce neo-nazis' activities such as the far-right youth organisation "Heimattreue Deutsche Jugend" or try to demolish racial attacks by white supremacists from further destructing worlds' civilizations.

Analysts of right extremism have warned that Germany's neo-Nazi scene is growing and becoming more dangerous , and a major study of teenager's attitudes published recently showed racist and far-right attitudes were widespread among young people. Guess condom is more fun to think about!
